If you know what you are looking for you can just see the tip of the Rose Parade flag that Natalie is carrying. The tears started to fall, I was so proud of my daughter, Rachael. She has worked hard to be a part of the Color Guard, many nights after practice she has been out in the front yard spinning her flag, her rifle and at times even a sabre. She has worked with some of the other girls helping them to get better. She enjoys spinning and I enjoy watching her do it.
The door opens and out they come.
Natalie, Thank you for the smile on your face. You always have a smile every time I have seen you at practice carrying that flag so proudly! The tears continued to fall as I watched you march by!
Shelby and Katie come by carrying the new banner. This is the first time we have used it.
Now what do I see, the weapons, leading the band. We are in our normal parade formation. Weapons, band, flags.
Rachael is on the back row of the flag's, so once she came by, I ran back up towards to the front of the flag's, along the way, I saw a few of our other fans.
I didn't dare run up Disneyland's Main Street trying to get more pictures. I wish I had been able to get one of all of the Color Guard Girls. You all made me so proud today, marching in the "Happiest Place on Earth!"
