One million people watch the Parade live in Pasadena, with an estimated 59 million people watching on TV. That is a lot of people watching that famous corner.
The American Fork High School Color Guard and Marching Band will turn that corner with all those people watching. They have to figure out how to get it right. And that is just what they are doing. The Band Dad's drew that famous corner onto the Band's Practice field. The Color Guard and Band lined up and started to march, around and around that pretend corner. Look left, look right, take BIG steps, take small steps, everyone has a job to do to make the turn correctly. We'll get it right . . . PRACTICE - PRACTICE-PRACTICE!
It was COLD - COLD - COLD this day. I was glad when the girls opted to just hold their flag or rifle and not spin. It was so COLD they couldn't catch them and I was afraid someone would get hurt.
I kept wishing Erin would roll her pants back down, I felt colder just looking at those bare legs.
I want one of these HATS, it looks like it would really keep the head warm.
This practice was held on November 30, WOW, the month is over. Four weeks until we leave for the Rose Parade trip. We are getting excited!
