Friends and Family Show 2-18-11

The friends and family show is held at American Fork High School.  It is done as a fund raiser for the Winter Guard.  They have a spaghetti dinner followed by all of the American Fork Guards.  Sometimes one or more of the other local schools are invited to perform also.  The cafetaria is filled to overflowing while people eat, and they are joined by more who come just to see the show.  It is a fun evening.

Before this performance the Guard had a dress rehearsal.  I liked that I could be in the gym while they were practicing in their uniforms and take pictures from different angels.  Next time I'll be braver and really move all the way around.  So often my pictures are all of the girls in the front, next time I'll do better and get some better pictures of everyone.

The American Fork Winter Guard has a GREAT support system.  Their director Tiffany is really good with the girls.  They have the best Band Dad's and Mom's.  At each competition this group of people help fold floors for ALL of the different Winter Guards.  By the end of a competition they will have helped to fold 35 or more floors.  The floors are VERY heavy, and get heavier as the night goes on.  Our girls are truly loved by lots of people.  Some of the "Band Dad's" no longer have daughter's involved and they still show up each week to help.
