2010 Field Show Practice.

The girls put in a lot of time prepariing for a field show. During the summer they have early morning practices twice a week, plus a Thursday night practice. They also have to have a weekly "sectional" practice. Then throw in the "homework". . . ie at home practice. They put in 8 to 10 hours a week. This doesn't include all of the "Guard"camps that they have. On those days they are at the school practicing for 10 or more hours learning their drill. They spend 4 solid days at "Band" camp where they put all of the summer practice together with the band.

During the school year one of their classes is Color Guard. They usually have to be at school by 6:00 am on the days they have Color Guard class. Then they still have practice after school two days a week and the Thursday night practices continue. This goes until the last competition the first week of November.

2010 Parade Season

It is hard to believe that the 2010 - 2011 School year is almost over. It has been a fun year of Color Guard. It started with the parade season

Something New

Ok - so here it is - A new BLOG. I am not sure what I am doing, but want to have somewhere to put up pictures that I take of the AMERICAN FORK HIGH SCHOOL COLOR GUARD.

I enjoy my camera, but I am by no means professional in the pictures that I take. I just have fun. My daughter, Rachael (simplyrachaelbee.blogspot.com) is a member of the Guard. I took pictures the first year that she was in the Guard and posted them on facebook. I also would take video's of the shows they did and load them to youtube. Then I got asked to be the "Official" photographer of the Guard.

So here it goes.
